1. How do I know my level?
For English, French, Spanish and Dutch languages, you can take our online multiple choice language tests. Assessment of other languages can be arranged; please contact us for details.
2. How long does it take to become fluent in a language?
Any honest and serious teacher will give you the same answer: it depends on the level you are already at. Also, it is up to you how much time and energy you invest in your training, how long you study the language for, the frequency of the classes and how much you practise at home. As an official reference we recommend that you to check our language level chart based on the European Common Framework of Reference for Languages.
3. What qualifications do your native teachers possess?
Our teachers are qualified with university teaching degrees, certificates, professional experience and qualifications or a combination of the above.
4. Where does the training take place?
- All our private tuition for adults take place at your home, place of work or in an alternative venue of your choice.
- For corporate clients training will take place in the convenience of your company's premises.
- All our tuition for children takes place at the parent's or legal guardian's home.
- All our public group courses take place in our centres: Monument (EC4), The Gherkin (EC3) and Canary Wharf (E14).
5. Who takes your evening public classes?
Our clients encompass a broad range of ages and experience, but most are professionals who work in the city who are interested in travelling, working overseas, buying a house abroad or are married to a foreign spouse.
6. What teaching materials are used in your evening public classes?
We will provide you with a course book and printed material at the beginning of your course at no extra cost. Some course books also come with at CD.
7. Can I receive a certificate after my course?
Yes; we understand how important it is to show any language courses on your CV. Therefore, if this applies to you, just let us know and we will provide you with an attendance certificate after your course.
8. Do I have to pay for the whole course in advance?
Yes - lessons are paid for in advance. The course can start as soon as payment is received.
9. Can I cancel a private lesson booked at anytime?
The client must notify the company and the teacher of any cancellation at least 24 working hours before the date and time of the lesson. Any lesson cancelled less than 24 working hours before it is scheduled will be billed in full.
10. Do I need to use my block of hours within a limited period of time?
No - there is no time restriction on using your hours. You can put your language training on hold if need be.
